This 1100m2 corner site development comprises a retail and cafe on the ground floor, two levels of open plan office space above with a north facing staff balcony on the second level and a small penthouse apartment on the rooftop.
The development was for Hamiltons who needed a new corporate headquarters for their growing business and the penthouse apartment for Nick, one of the business owners, who wanted to combine his work-life operation into one space. This gave the business a great new asset for their own use and additional leasable space on the ground floor.
Car parking was solved by negotiating space in the building next door which they also own and are currently developing. The feature we like the most is the sticks and wrap around the glass facade. Nick reports he loves the cafe below being a great place to take clients.
Our most successful attributes on this project was the relationship with the client and getting a very quick turnaround for planning and design.
